I'M DONE WITH FINALS!!!! I can't even express how good it feels to be done with all my finals. the last couple weeks have been very stressful and full of studying. My first final was Biology lab a week ago Thursday, and then this week was finals week. I had two finals on Monday, and then nothing until Friday- my Biology final. So I had A LOT of deadtime. I didn't really know what to do with myself because obviously I wasn't going to study 24 hours a day. So on Tuesday this week I went snowboarding the first time with all my new gear! I had everything new- new board, boots, binding, coat, pants, goggles, etc. So it was a big day to test it all out, and it went well! I had the time of my life, even though I had a good share of falls. But the more I go, the better I will get. Since I am only a beginner at Snowboarding, I want to practice my carving the next few times. Then I will get it down!!
So, finals. Well, they were sort of a kick in the butt! I mean, they were for the most part pretty straight forward, but my Biology final was scary. But I did my best, and that is all anyone can do. So right now I am in Phoenix. I just got here today and will be here with my family for a few days before we go to MISSOURI FOR CHRISTMAS!!! I can't even tell you how excited I am! I am so stoked about Christmas break. AND my dad got a job in Salt Lake City, so my parents are moving there from Phoenix! Awesome huh?!
Well, I am going to go hang out with my family now, but I hope you are having a great Christmas season. Enjoy the people around you, and remember to smile. Stay fresh!

ONLY 2 MORE WEEKS!!!

Hello!
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break, because I know I did! It was so nice to get off school on Wednesday last week. I had such a wonderful time with my family just being able to relax and enjoy each other. I think I overstuffed myself with stuffing and candied yams and shrimp on Thursday, but it was definitely worth it! Don't worry though, i had some Turkey too. But I would never had Turkey leftovers like the rest of my family does... eww! Anyway, I had such a great time in Phoenix, and it was nice too because my grandma Mimi was able to spend break with us as well.
I also saw some really amazing movies over break. My family and I went to see "Enchanted" and I saw "August Rush" with my friends. I decided that "August Rush" is my new favorite movie of ALL TIME!!! It was seriously and unbelievable movie, and I think everyone would enjoy it! "Enchanted" was also a great movie. And let me just tell you about Saturday! WELL... THE MISSOURI TIGERS ARE NOW RANKED NUMBER ONE IN THE BCS!!!! (That's college football I'm referring to if you didn't know.) I AM SO DANG PROUD OF MU!!! That is my hometown where University of Missouri is at, and I have grown up watching these guys play every fall. I am just really excited, and just proud of MU! GO MIZZOU!!
Last but... well it is least- I only have two more weeks of school in the fall semester and I can hardly wait for Christmas break. I am sorry, but I am ready for a break from school! Spring semester will be fun, but it is just time to get a break. And i get to go to Missouri for Christmas, my family and I are going there for vacation (since we did move from there after I graduated). So, let the countdown begin!

Freak where is the dang snow???

So, all I can think about now is how badly I want it to snow.. but not at Dixie. It needs to snow up at all the ski resorts, but mainly BRIAN HEAD because I just bought my season pass on Wednesday!!! There was a showing of Warren Miller's movie on campus at Dixie called "Playground" and it was amazing! All the people in the video and others like that are seriously soo talented! They basically ski or board straight down a mountain! It is just mind boggling. But anyway, it made me and my friends so stoked for the season! mmm.. just thinking about it gives me the chills! So I took the liberty to put a couple pics up of my snowboard that I got a couple of months ago.
I also went in Thursday night to see "Sweeney Todd," the creepiest play/ musical ever! Wow... me and my friends sat on the front row and it was just some creepy thing to be a part of. Wow, just the idea of the play is sick and twisted. I mean, killing people and baking them into pies...?! What the freak? Anyway, it was very well put on, and very entertaining as well, and my friend Crystal was the stage manager and did a fantastic job at taking care of everything! So, in conclusion- it was really good, and yet creepy but in the best way possible.. Everyone should hurry and go see it this weekend! Anyway, I am tired and need to go to bed, but I hope you have a wonderful weekend and GO UTES!! (I'm going to the game!) OH, and of course, stay fresh!

p.s. i put a pic up of skimboarding too for your pleasure!

School school and more school...

Hello there! Not much has happened lately other than school and dumb homework. But it feels good that as long as I stay on top of it, I don't have to pull any last minute b.s. Everything has been going pretty well and I got my midterms done last week. I got to see what my grades were in my classes and they were awesome!!! Hard work really does pay off. I'm pretty excited for "The Office" tonight. Every Thursday I get stoked because well, "The Office" and then that it is almost Friday! Man I love weekends! I don't have anything planned for this weekend, but it will just be nice to relax. Dang, I feel really random right now, maybe it is because I can't eat or drink anything or even CHEW SOME DANG GUM! For my Biology Lab class today we weren't supposed to eat or drink anything for at least three hours before class so we can get DNA samples from ourselves. UGH! All I want is to chew some gum... oh well! Anyway, sorry if I seem random today, but I hope you have been having a good week and until next week- stay fresh!

p.s. yep, more pics! From Halloween, a Vegas trip, etc.

Happy Halloween and other stuff!

So, since it has been a little while since the last blog but i have SOOO much to talk about! First of all, I hope that everyone had a happy Halloween and didn't get too overloaded with candy. I know I had an awesome time! I actually had the chance to wear three costumes! Last friday night I went to the Howl up at SUU with a friend from up north and I was an indian. Then the both of us were groupies for the Beatles at some parties on Saturday night, and then last night I was a dragon for Halloween! That costume was the best because it was made for a seven year old child; I cut off the legs and wore it as a hoodie sort of thing! It was awesome, no joke! I had a great Halloween even though I was away from my family. I miss carving pumpkins and being with my old friends watching scary movies, but college is still so much fun.
Now that it's November, I realized that we only have a little more than a month left of school. WOW! Midterms are almost done, and my classes are going smoothly for the most part. I am still having a hard time with my Biology class, but if I keep working hard and studying I know it will pay off. I have some more crazy cool stuff to tell you all about, but we'll save it for another time! Have a wonderful day and as always stay fresh!

Midterm time.... Hakuna Matata!

It's been a while since I last posted, so I have a whole lot to talk about. First of all, I think I made one of the best decisions I could for my sophmore year. You know how I was saying earlier about how two of my classes are just killer? Well, on Monday I decided to drop my American Government class and just audit it. It sucked that I dropped it, but I was doing well, AT ALL. I was not succeeding on my tests no matter how hard I studied, and even though I learned a lot and enjoyed the class I can't risk the bad grade. So, I am glad that I can still audit the class and continue to learn about our government without having to worry about the grade. I just really need to buckle down so I can do well in my Biology class.
So right now I am listening to my iPod on shuffle and guess what song came on? You are correct, "Hakuna Matata" from The Lion King! It was actually nice to hear that because I think sometimes we all get so caught up in our lives and get so stressed about everything that we need to take some time for ourselves and just try to have "no worries." I mean, over the past little while I have had a lot of crazy things happen to me, things that I can't control. And when something like that happens, we need to realize that we just have to do what we can, but just deal with the changes and trials. Especially when midterms come along. For me, I just need to study and do all that I can, but accept what happens.
One last thing, fall break was last weekend!!! And I just want you to know that I seriously had the MOST AMAZING TIME!!! Me and a group of friends went down to Phoenix, Arizona (which is about a 7 hour drive) and just hung out, went swimming, shopping and to the Dashboard Confessional concert! It was sooo nice to take a break from school for a little while. So, now I'm back and in the thick of homework but it's all good because I have more concerts to look forward to!!! And the pictures I put are from Fall Break- being ghetto, at P.F. Chang's for dinner, the Dashboard concert, and all of us at Hoover Dam.
I hope that you have a wonderful day and we'll talk to ya soon!
Stay fresh!

So much to do... So little time!

Hello to all!
So, it has been a little while since I last posted and I want to just update about everything that has been going on at Dixie. Well, I am a HUGE concert go-er, and I went to Cartel a few weeks ago (did I already talk about that) and then I went with my friend Frances up to the University of Utah to see Jack's Mannequin. And then just last friday me and my friend Kara went to the Goo Goo Dolls in Ceder! Man, I love concerts, but anyway, school has also been going really well... sort of. The thing is that I really enjoy my classes, but some of them are just difficult. For example, my American Government class is so awesome because I learn so much, and we have debates. But the tests seem to have nothing to do with our class lectures, the questions all have to do with our textbook and we don't even have a review in class for it. So basically you have to prepare for it all on your own, which is hard when you don't know what to expect on the exam. Also my Biology Lab is getting pretty fun, but we always have these quizzes at the beginning of each class (which is only once a week thank goodness). And the quizzes are like impossible to prepare for because we have to know all the material from the previous lab AND all the material from the upcoming lab. So, school has officially gotten hard now, but I am still finding time to have fun and relax. I always have a blast going to the Dixie football games (even when we lose...). I have some pics from a rodeo I went to, the football games, some concerts, the 80's dance, and just chilling with my friends! Alright, well I hope you have a wonderful week, and stay fresh... haha!
~Addi
P.S. I went up to the Utah vs. UCLA game a couple weeks ago and all I can say is shocking and UNBELIEVABLE!!! GO UTES!!
